It acts for both domestic and overseas clients including corporations and state entities, as well as individuals. Today the firm practices from its offices in Chancery Lane in the heart of the legal district in the City of London and close to the Royal Courts of Justice. In that year the firm hired a young barrister named Tony Blair, affording Mr Blair in 1983 the only occasion in which the three-time Prime Minister appeared in the Law Report. The new offices were opened by the Chief Justice and President of India. Zaiwalla & Co was founded in 1982 by our senior partner Sarosh Zaiwalla who began his career in shipping law and arbitration, and then branched out into non-shipping arbitration. Pavani was awarded the Gold Award for Women of the Year (Asian Achievers Awards, October 2010) and the Glory of India Award for her outstanding performance in the legal field (January 2012). She is an expert in arbitration having recently won three London arbitrations for Indian clients’ worth over $10M each and one of very few young Indian lawyers to make headline news in litigation in the City. Since joining Pavani has driven the firm to new heights with innovation and her fearless ability to tackle even the most complex legal issues quickly. Pavani heads up the litigation team at the firm handling multi-million pound disputes in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She became Partner in 2005 and is now the Managing Partner. She then came to the UK where she transferred her qualification to that of an English Solicitor with Zaiwalla & Co. Pavani Reddy, Managing Partner, Zaiwalla & Co Solicitors was born in Andhra Pradesh and qualified in India as an advocate.
